About CCNGS

CCNGS Objectives

The Clark County Nevada Genealogical Society (CCNGS) was formed in 1976 and is a non-profit, educational organization with the following objectives:

  • To furnish aid in genealogical research
  • To preserve Nevada Clark County Las Vegas records
  • To stimulate interest and provide education of members and others in genealogy
  • To acquire materials and publications which are of genealogical value for the use of members and others.

Meetings

Monthly meetings are held every third Saturday of the month at the Paseo Verde Library in Henderson. Free parking is in front of the library.

Meeting Agenda

  • Welcome and Introductions – If you are a guest, you may be asked what areas of the country or the world you are researching and any surnames you are researching – we may have members who can help!
  • Business Meeting – A short Business Meeting is held after the pledge. Guests are introduced, information is given about the society, and future events are discussed.
  • Refreshment Break
  • Main Program – The Main Program includes outstanding speakers on genealogical subjects such as Land, Cemetery, Military, Courthouse, and Census Records; DNA; Organization; Internet Sites; & more.
  • Adjournment

The Prospector Publication

The Prospector is a bi-monthly newsletter is published digitally in January, March, May, July, September, and November and is designed to inform members of CCNGS news and to share information provided by members and others. Copies are free to members and $5.00 each to non-members.

Clark County Nevada Genealogical Society maintains their genealogy library in the Genealogy Heritage Room, Paseo Verde Library, 280 South Green Valley Parkway, Henderson Nevada, Phone: 702-492-7252.
Hours:  Monday-Wednesday: 9 am to 8 pm
Thursday-Saturday: 9 am to 5 pm
Sunday: Closed
